Finding My Place In America

Hey Y'all! My second contribution to the Find Your Park Expedition is up on the National Park Foundation's Blog. You can find my first post in Spanish here and the english version here. This Expedition was a first of many things for me. In this second piece I reflect on how this amazing experience has affected me and what I've gained from being part of the Find Your Park Expedition.

The Find Your Park Expedition was a week long journey through two of this countries National Parks. The expedition began in Denver, Colorado followed by a drive to The Great Sand Dunes National Parks and Preserve. After Spending a beautiful day at the Dunes, having seen the Milky Way and hiked up the Sand Dunes we set off for our next park. The next stop on the expedition was Mesa Verde National Park. After a beautiful drive through Colorado we arrive at Mesa Verde where we would spend the majority of the expedition. Every day was filled with amazing activities. We were able to meet Park Rangers and other Park Staff that make visiting the park such a pleasure. We walked the lands of the Ancestral Pueblo People and got to experience the remains of many of their cliff dwellings. View snippets of the journey below and read my post here.
