Hi friends,

I’m pleased to share with you all some of my most recent work. Since my leap into freelancing full-time, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph more events, and the most exciting thing about this has been getting commissioned to photographed space and events that I believe in and support.

This past January, I had the opportunity to photograph an event called Cyb3rqu33n at Coconut Club. Cyb3rqu33n is a community event that highlights the work of queer, trans, and gender non-conforming artist of Central Texas in a safe space for members of the queer community. Cyb3rqu33n is produced by Y2K Technologies, founded by performance, music, and installation artist Y2K.

Cyb3rqu33n’s programming includes spotlight performances of well-known drag performers and music by DJs. This past Cyb3rqu33n included performances by Ruby Knight, Andie Flores, Brigitte Bandit, and Honey Baby. On the jams, we had La Morena and Purple Matter.

So, if you’re trying to find a fantastic show to attend to with great music, art, and, most importantly, a space you can feel safe while supporting the Austin Queer community, please check out Y2K Technology for upcoming shows! I want to extend a big thank you to Y2K for the opportunity to capture this beautiful piece of Austin’s culture. And like always thank you to everyone that made it here and read, you are very much appreciated!

-Javi
